![]() It does start off pretty slow because with only one plant, you can't make many coins. I have only played the demo, but will definitely be using a game credit on it. he will keep coming back, but is pretty slow so you can drag him away again. However you really don't have to waste your time trying to kill him, simply click on him and just carry him away from your plants. There is a new foe that is exceptionally hard to defeat, the large octopus. Most of the pests are normal and you just smack them until they die and leave you experience points. One thing I noticed that is different is with the pests. You are able to buy upgrades to your surroundings, as in making the plants demand less water, making the plants grow and bloom faster, and more. For example killing pests, watering plants, and gathering flowers. ![]() You are able to use your gathered experience points to upgrade different aspects of the game. You use your gathered flowers to make bouquets to sell. You protect your plants from the pests and keep them watered. You plant different plants and gather the flowers. This one is quite a bit like the last one as far as how the game runs but the plants and surroundings are all different and there are a couple of new things. May not be for everyone but well worth trying!īack to the farm!!! First off, I have the other Magic Farm games and I still replay them off and on. After adjusting the in game sound I realized it was the same mild tones as in the earlier games. * turn the sound effects down: at first it seemed they had put in some horrible blaring sound for the end of day. *the upgrades are available from the start, need to click on each to see a description then can use (looked to me like they were locked) * first farm is in a river so something of a logic error to water the plants but that is a minor issue ![]() * not quite as clear about how the farm works as in the earlier versions (but once you get going its fine) * lots of chatter - have to click through a lot of talk (previous games had more info in a single dialog window) * bugs are now humorous (dragonflies have glasses, clams flutter like a butterfly) Cant wait to see the other farms and what sort of plants they have! You earn some improvements (like selling bouquets not just individual flowers) by completing tasks so there is more to discover as the game goes on. Looking forward to many hours of game play.Īs someone else noted, its intense during a farm day but you get a chance to relax and take your time selling bouquets and setting up your farm. I've been getting very involved in it, which is what I want from a game. Then decided to get it and am glad I did. The Magic is back! I've got the first 2 Magic Farm games and wasn't sure I wanted another.

Mini Review KeyWe (PS5) - Two Birdbrains Are Better Than One in Quirky Co-Op Title Without warning, the machine acts like you’ve ripped the battery out. This is what most people think of when you tell them your laptop is overheating. In that case you won’t hear the fan at all, even though your laptop is getting significantly hotter. Some laptops don’t have fans at all, and for those that do, many overheating issues are caused by the fan malfunctioning. Of course, a computer can overheat quietly too. That’s because the hardware is telling the system fans to run faster and more often in an attempt to force excess heat out of the laptop. It’s almost ironic that while the laptop is slowly struggling away as it tries to accomplish basic tasks, it starts screaming like an Airbus A380 accelerating down the runway. If it continued to operate unimpeded and the temperature kept rising, the hardware would become vulnerable to long term damage. The laptop is throttling back the performance of its own hardware to try to bring its temperature back to within a normal range. The reason this happens is simply self-preservation. Even typing or moving the mouse pointer happens more slowly than usual. A hot laptop will run like it’s from 2006. Performance Slows DownĪnother sign that your laptop is overheating is the massive performance drop you’ll notice. If you’re seeing those sort of temperatures, especially when you’re not doing a lot on your laptop at the time, you need to start looking at how well your cooling system is working. Once the mercury rises above 80☌ (175☏) for extended periods, it’s time to start getting worried. If you’re not doing much more than running a word processor or watching a YouTube video in your browser, the laptop’s CPU temp should hover around 40-50☌ (100-120☏.) If you’re gaming or running several programs at once, then 60-70☌ (140-160☏) is an acceptable temperature. You can use a third-party tool to check the actual temperature of your laptop: apps HWMonitor or Open Hardware Monit are free and do a good job. It’ll be blowing warm air around and feel hot to the touch, suddenly going from warming your legs nicely to feeling like you’re being branded. Once your laptop starts overheating, you’ll know it. ![]() Once more areas become unlocked, you’ll be able to create more bus routes connecting the stops in those areas to stops in areas you already have access to. Might be a good idea to have a high turn-over rate to save some bucks early on, but is that really a good idea in the long run? Probably not. Once hired and assigned to a route, they gain experience over time and earn more and more money for you, but their salary also goes up. That does make the hiring process easier and more entertaining, though. The application process for drivers is pretty straightforward and some of these applications make the candidate out to be an awful choice. ![]() Company management consists of buying buses, customizing them, and hiring drivers to actually drive them around. You have the company management aspect and then the actual bus driving aspect. There’s two distinct types of gameplay with this title. It’s a pretty intuitive system that will help you to grow your busing company to a pretty high level, earning enough money along the way to buy better and better vehicles. You’ll then create routes as requested, and upon completion of assigned tasks, you’ll unlock more and more areas that need access to your bus line. Through this contract, you’ll be able to earn more and more in-game currency so that you can purchase more buses and hire drivers. Complete that route successfully and you’ll be given a contract to run the city’s transit system. The game starts you out on a trial run with one bus and one route. With the console release of Bus Simulator, you get the base game plus all of the DLC that has been released for it on the PC. Fast forward 2 years and the developer seems to have learned from their past mistakes and, with the release of Bus Simulator 18, have created a much more in depth simulator, with improved graphics, smarter AI, and a company management system that will help you grow your busing company. After a few patches, the game did finally evolve into a much better experience, but that initial release soured a lot of gamers to the series and the title never really took off. Still Alive Studios released Bus Simulator 16 back in 2016 and missed the mark in graphics, AI intelligence, and overall game management. Is it worth the fare or should you just call an Uber? Lastly, the science you want is Space folding, bot mining (I forgot the name), slipgates, replication, autoassemblers, Infraspace/Starbirth (get both, order doesn't matter, though,) time compression, and then go from there, trying to get ascension gates at some point. Maybe you won't get all of them before time runs out, but grab as many as you can. When you are approaching the end and you have used all of the mineral planets, begin turning every gas giant and, if there is one extra mineral planet, that too, into stars. Run each star into two ascension gates. If you take three of those from the same planet, you can lead them all into one lab. If multiple appear close together, you cannot take two resources from the same planet, but with the building that makes organics into food, you can. In the years waiting for the technology and money you need for forge cycles, you find pairs of Earths + forests/ocean. Never waste a single mineral planet, nor a gas giant! (I'll explain in a second.)Ī science boost trick is always using food/organics, besides science from forge cy cles. One forge cycle gives roughly a 200 economy boost, and you can usually find 2-3 forge cycle opportunities per map. ![]() In that strategy, you'll have more happiness but only a +5 science boost. Leave an open slipgate to split into two seperate labs to get a huge +10 science boost. Another option is also including an ice planet, not a gas giant. With these, you need to construct a trail of slipgates that connects two mineral planets (bot mining), four forge planets, (Replication is huge), one making tech and three making bots. Where most of the points come from is what I like to call Forge Cycles. From then on, the main strategy is not wasting a single month. I then look for a xeno planet to supply the bot planet with organics. ![]() I always start in the center of the map, and look around for Remnant, a planet you can use bots -> food (Ocean, Earth), and another Earth (humans).
